Twins' lead dwindles

REEDSBURG — The Twins had the weekend off, but lost a half-game on their Western Division lead June 29 as second-place Reedsburg beat Mazomanie 12-1.

The two teams entered the game tied for second —two games back of Sauk Prairie — but Brandon Peyer drove in five runs to back Pirates' starter Steve Hedgepeth, who scattered six hits while striking out six to give Reedsburg sole possession of second place.
