MAUSTON — Waupun coughed up the pigskin six times and lost four of those fumbles in Friday's 20-13 nonconference loss at Mauston.

Adam Uhrmacher's 11-yard run gave the Warriors (1-1) a 7-6 halftime lead. Mauston regained the lead in the third quarter but Waupun got a chance to tie in the fourth quarter.

The Warriors completed just two of 13 pass attempts but made one of them count. Austin Armga hit Taylor Nehls from 23 yards out but Waupun missed the tying conversion.

Mauston's Pat Guyse, who scored all three touchdowns for the Eagles, added insurance in the fourth quarter. He scored from 38 yards out to help seal the win.

Waupun travels to Plymouth next week.

Mauston evened its record at 1-1.
