JUNEAU: Speeder hits 115 mph
A Hartford man was cited Wednesday afternoon for driving 115 mph in a 55 mph zone, according to police. Paul Droese, 42, was driving northbound on Highway P in the town of Rubicon when Dodge County Sheriff's deputy Mike Morell clocked Droese driving his 2002 Ford Mustang 115 mph after passing another vehicle. "As soon as he saw me spin around to pursue him, he pulled over to the side of the road. He knew he was caught," said Morell. Droese faces a fine of $501, six demerit points and mandatory loss of driving privileges. "These speeds not only endanger the driver, but every other motorist and user of our highways. This is faster than law enforcement professionals drive responding to emergency calls for service," said Sheriff Todd Nehls.
