The Dodge County Beef Promotion Committee is sponsoring the Dodge County Beef Cook-Off to promote cooking with beef.  All residents of Dodge County and adjoining counties are eligible to participate.

There will be five categories which include kids (ages 12 and under), juniors (ages 13-18), men, women and seniors (ages 65 and older).  All original recipes will be judged on taste, ease and practicality of preparation, originality and appearance.

The contest will be held Monday, July 27, at the Dodge County Administration Building at 6:30 p.m.  Contestants will bring their finished dishes for a panel of judges to taste.

Within each category T-shirts or aprons will be awarded.  The winner from each category will receive a prize.  Prizes include gift certificates to Brandon Meats and Sausage, gift certificates for LeRoy Meats of Horicon, gift certificates to Glenn's Market and Catering, $20 gift card to Wal-Mart, gift certificates to Pernat-Haase Meats, gift certificates to Piggly Wiggly and more.
