Constance Memmel, Columbus, is pleased to announce the engagement of her son, Jayme Shaun Memmel, to Sonia Rene Almasy, granddaughter of Donald and Judy Glastetter, Lena, Ill.

Jayme proposed to Sonia on Sept. 6, 2008, at Camp Randall during a Wisconsin Badger Football game. They will be married Aug. 9, 2009.

Jayme is a 1989 graduate of Beaver Dam High School and will be graduating this fall from Amridge University with a bachelor’s degree in human development. Jayme will also be beginning his pursuit of his master’s degree as a professional counselor beginning next spring. Jayme presently lives in Columbus and is an Underwriter Rep. for WJWD in Fall River.

Sonia is a 1992 Roosevelt High School graduate from Rockford, Ill., and graduated in 1999 from Southern Illinois University with an associate’s degree in dental technology. Sonia currently resides with her son Isaiah in Freeport, Ill., and is employed with Help At Home in Freeport, Ill. Sonia also works as a freelance photographer.
