Margaret O. Bass, 92, died on Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2008, at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison. She was born on May 25, 1916 in Adams County, the daughter of William and Grace (nee Evans) Bass. Margaret worked for many years at the U.W. Residence Hall in Food Service.

She is survived by her brothers, Bernard Bass of Madison and Floyd Bass of Stevens Point; sister-in-law, Rosemary Bass; close nieces, Susan Hersch, Sandra Bass and Catherine Bass; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers and sisters, Lula Fisher, Vernon Bass, Marian Nelson, Elizabeth Leege and June Bass.

Private family services will be held.

Ryan Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Madison assisted the family with arrangements.
