MAYVILLE — Ethan Douglas cut back after being slowed up and scored from 14 yards out in double overtime to give Brodhead-Juda Friday's 13-10 nonconference opening football win at Mayville.

"Both offenses looked better at the scrimmage but there was not much offense tonight," Mayville coach Tom Noennig said. "We made a few more mistakes than they did.

"These games have been dandies with them but the players are frustrated and the coaches are frustrated."

B/J took the lead on a 30-yard scoring pass from Beau Brenner to Trevor Klein late in the third quarter. Mayville rallied with 1 minute, 32 seconds left in regulation when Mike Gionet found Mike Griepentrog from 6 yards out to force overtime.

"We went into our two-minute drill and started moving the ball," Noennig said. "Mike made a nice catch."

Mayville visits Campbellsport next week.
