A 41-year-old Reeseville man was charged Monday with injuring two people, including a pregnant woman, while he was driving drunk on March 17.

Landon W. Gaines, N3316 Leismann Road, faces two misdemeanor charges of causing injury while operating while impaired. If convicted on both counts, he could face up to two years in jail.

According to police reports, Gaines was northbound on Highway I in the town of Portland when he failed to stop for a posted sign at the intersection with Highway T.

Gaines struck an oncoming car, injuring its pregnant driver and her passenger.

A preliminary breath test revealed he had a blood-alcohol concentration of .115 percent at the time of the crash.
