Contractor convicted of theft

JUNEAU — A Juneau man has been convicted on a dozen counts of theft in a business setting for failing to make good on contracts people entered into with Andy's Roofing.

Robert A. Linendoll, 48, 625 N. Main St., pleaded no contest in April to 12 felony counts, and he is scheduled to be sentenced June 22.

According to a criminal complaint, the contracts were signed between September 2006 and August 2008.

Linendoll faces one charge of theft in excess of $10,000 for a contract  entered into with a homeowner in Beaver Dam who contracted with Andy's Roofing for work on a home on Park Avenue.

Linendoll also faces five counts of theft in an amount less than $10,000 for broken contracts for work on homes in Emmet, Burnett, Hustisford, Juneau and Beaver Dam.

He was also charged with six counts of theft in an amount less than $5,000, which includes broken contracts with Bethany Presbyterian Church in Randolph and Wayland Academy.

Dodge County Circuit Judge John Storck ordered a pre-sentence investigation, and Linendoll faces up to 55 1/2 years in prison and $135,000 in fines when he returns to court for sentencing June 22.

Storck also ordered that uncharged offenses be read into court records.
