Fox Lake Elementary open house draws interest
FOX LAKE - Staff, administration, parents, alumni and parents of alumni gathered Tuesday for the Fox Lake Elementary open house. The classrooms were open for the public to take a look or talk to the teacher. Historical documents, including yearbooks, artwork and school board information, were on display in the library and drew a steady crowd. Many parents were looking for their child's picture in yearbooks. A banner was available for everybody to sign and it will be placed in a time capsule as a memory of the Fox Lake Elementary. Many walked down the hallways pointing out where their lockers were or who used to teach in a particular building. The students are done with school June 4 and then the doors to Fox Lake Elementary will be closed due to budget restraints. The Fox Lake students will attend one of three buildings in Waupun starting next fall: Meadowview Primary, Rock River Intermediate or Waupun Area Junior/Senior High.
