Bandits finish second at home tournament

Hosting the Baraboo Tournament Saturday and Sunday at Mary Rountree Evans Field, the Baraboo Post 26 Bandits Junior American Legion baseball team finished in 2nd place with a 2-2 record.
"Everybody is starting play well together at this point in the season," said Post 26 coach Andy Neuman. "We’ve started hitting the ball well, and we got good pitching throughout the tournament."
On Saturday, Baraboo took a 9-7 decision over Portage, as Adair Ebright threw seven innings for the win.
In the nitecap, Beaver Dam trumped the Bandits, 12-5.
On Sunday, Post 26 began the day with a 6-5 loss to the Madison Lakers, before responding with a victory over Stoughton, 8-2.
Sean McGann tossed a complete game for the Bandits, and Hunter Mulock led the offensive charge going 2 for 2.
The junior Bandits return to the field at Mary Rountree on Wednesday welcoming Mauston.
