Paul H. Bauer, 93 of LaValle, passed away on Saturday, May 23,2009, at the Reedsburg Area Senior Life Center. He was born on Jan. 15, 1916, in Muscoda, the son of Joseph and Edith (Hutchins) Bauer. He married E. Rachel Good on April 6, 1947. She preceded him in death on Dec. 20, 1999. Paul was a lifelong member of the Valton Friends Church where he served faithfully for many years. Paul loved his dairy farm and the life it provided him and his family. He cherished his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He enjoyed music, baseball and trains.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

He is survived by his daughter, Dinah (Glen) Safford of Minocqua; his sons, Stanley (Karen) Bauer of Pleasant Plain, Iowa; Stephen ( Michelle) Bauer of Reedsburg; sisters, Maureen Walsh, Melinda Lawrence and Bonnie Cousins; eight grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; special friend Elma Lawrence; as well as nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Paul H. Bauer will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 27 at the Valton Friends Church in Valton with Pastor Paul Willis officiating. Burial will be made in the Oaks Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.
