Isabelle O'Connor, 97 of Reedsburg, died on Sunday, May 24, 2009, at the Reedsburg Area Senior Life Center. She was born on Nov. 15, 1911, in Janesville, the daughter of Earl and Belle (Rhinehart) Bass. She was married to Roland E. O'Connor on Nov. 27, 1929, at the United Methodist Church, Reedsburg. He preceded her in death on May 10, 1976. She was a member of the Federated Women's Club and a life member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Isabelle had a fond love for flowers.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, twin brothers in their youth; a brother, Jack; and two sisters, Marian and Jeannette.

She is survived by her son, Roland "Jack" O'Connor of Lyndon Station; three grandchildren, Cindy (Paul) Gaborie of Verona, Patricia O'Connor of Madison, Roland "Tom" O'Connor of Pa.; five great grandchildren; her half-brother,  Allister Timpany of Janesville; nieces and nephews along with other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Isabelle O'Connor will be conducted on Thursday, May 28 at 1 p.m. in the United Methodist Church, Reedsburg, with Pastor David Farina officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Farber Funeral Home and again at the church on Thursday from 12 p.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m. Isabelle had requested memorials of remembrance be made for a nursing or teaching scholarship in lieu of flowers.
