Gyneth Pyfferoen, 79, Published May 30, 2009
Gyneth T. Pyfferoen, 79 of Cazenovia, died Thursday, May 28, 2009, at the Reedsburg Area Medical Center. She was born on Jan. 20, 1930, in Sauk County, the daughter of Oscar and Lillie (Kent) Griffin. On April 20, 1948, she was united in marriage to Joseph J. Pyfferoen. This marriage was blessed with four sons. Gyneth was a member of Valton Friends Church and Bauer Valley Homemakers. She enjoyed quilting, ceramics and crafts. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and a brother. She is survived by her husband, Joseph Pyfferoen of Cazenovia; children, Lannie (Jane) Pyfferoen of Reedsburg, Ron (Mary) Pyfferoen of Cazenovia, Alan (Tanya) Pyfferoen of Cazenovia, David (Susan) Pyfferoen of Cazenovia; nine grandchildren, Jan (David) Ewing, Sally Leigh, Lannie (Melissa) Pyfferoen Jr., Susan (Mike) Fuller, Donna (Jerry) Schweich, Donnette (James) Allert, Alan, Michael and Victoria Pyfferoen and Daniel Scheeler; 11 great grandchildren; sister, Thelma Canaan of Stoughton; brother, Gary (Della) Griffin. Funeral services for Gyneth Pyfferoen will be conducted at 11 a.m., Monday, June 1 at Valton Friends Church with Pastor Paul Willis officiating. Burial will be made in Lime Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Cazenovia Chapel, and on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. The Farber Funeral Home in Reedsburg is assisting the family with the arrangements.
