Rhythm & Booms rescheduled for Sunday due to rain in Saturday's forecast

MADISON -- Rhythm & Booms has been rescheduled from Saturday night to Sunday, said Terry Kelly, president of the Madison Fireworks Fund.

With a high likelihood of storms between 5:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Saturday, organizers were concerned that there would not be enough places near its Warner Park location for people to seek shelter, Kelly said. The forecast called for lightning, heavy rain and high winds.

"We apologize to everyone for the inconvenience," he said about noon Saturday. "But there will be a full event (tonight). All the bands will play, and all the food stands will be open." Fireworks will begin at 9:30 p.m. tonight.
