Beverly Pikel, 73, of Wisconsin Dells died Saturday, Sept. 13, 2008 at St. Clare Hospital in Baraboo.

Memorial funeral services will be Saturday, Sept. 20 at 11 a.m. at the Dells-Delton United Methodist Church in Wisconsin Dells with the Rev. Steven Miller officiating.

Visitation will be at the Dells Delton United Methodist Church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m.

Beverly was born April 11, 1935 in Taylor County, the daughter of Mark and Mildred "Millie" (nee Downing) Burris.

In July 1951 she married Gordon Pikel in Lake Delton. She was a member of the United Methodist Women's Group, the Harold B. Larkin American Legion Post 187 Auxiliary of Wisconsin Dells, and the Lake Delton Sportsmen's Club. Beverly also enjoyed reading and loved to play bingo. Most recently she was the president of the resident council at the Golden Living Center.

Beverly is survived by her husband, Gordon; a daughter, Cindy Langer of Lyndon Station; sons, Gregory of Wisconsin Dells, Terry (Patty) of Reedsburg and Scott of Briggsville; sisters, Cora (Dick) Zamzow, Lynn (Dennis) Capener and Donna (Bill) Michaels all of Wisconsin Dells; grandchildren, Tracy Dahlby, Gregory Pikel and Dylan Pikel; and great-grandchildren, Coleton Dahlby, Hunter Dahlby and Brooklyn Pikel.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Robert Burris; sister, Elaine Warner and a grandson, Marcus Pikel.
