George Havey
George Havey, 82, of Lyndon Station, died Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2009 at St. Clare Hospital in Baraboo.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, Oct. 17, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lyndon Station with Father Valentine Joseph celebrating. Military Honors will be provided at the church.
Visitation was at the Conway-Picha Funeral Home on Friday, Oct. 16, from 4 to 7 p.m. with the Rosary recited at 6 p.m. and will also be on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until 10:15 a.m.
George was born April 12, 1927 in Mauston, the son of George and Winnifred Hamil Havey. He was a member of the Maurice C. Havey VFW Post #5970, the Elks and the Knights of Columbus.
George is survived by his sister, Mary (Phil) Laridaen of Lyndon Station; stepsons, Steven, Larry and Bill; stepdaughters, Linda (Dr. Bernard) Micke and Kathleen (Richard) Schluter; nieces, Georgene (Calvin) Rasmussen; nephews, Ross Laridaen and Patrick (Kim) Laridaen; and his special friend, Betty Wheeler of Reedsburg.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
