The Wisconsin Dells High School varsity soccer team snapped a three game losing streak Monday with an impressive 4-1 win over the River Valley BlackHawks Monday.

But 24 hours later, the Chiefs found themselves on the losing side again, dropping a lopsided 8-0 decision to Stoughton in a Badger Conference crossover match.

Matt Lagoda, injured in the Lake Mills tournament Sept. 13 when the Chiefs earned their second win of the season returned to the lineup with a vengeance against the Hawks, booting three of his team's season high four goals.

The junior striker scored the team's first two markers and freshman Michael Kirby notched the other as the home side stormed into a 3-0 halftime cushion.

Both teams scored once in the second half, Lagoda finishing off his hat trick for the Chiefs.

A night later the Chiefs proved no match for the visiting Vikings from Stoughton who scored four times in both halves to roll up a lopsided win.

Chiefs play host to Wautoma Monday in a 5 p.m. start.
