Record fall in Dells pool

The Wisconsin Dells Dolphins finally got a shot to compete in its own pool recently and took full advantage.
After three straight defeats on the road, the Dolphins grabbed its first meet win of the 2009 Tri County Conference season against the Mazomanie Barracudas although final points were not available at press time.
Four pool records were broken on the day and eight-year-old Kevin Coughlin played a part in three of them.
Coughlin established a new club mark in the 8 and Under 25 Yard Butterfly, covering the pool width in 18.59 seconds as he tried his hardest to stay with Carson Hughes of Mazo who flew across the pool in an amazing 15.76 ticks.
Coughlin was joined by six-year-old Aidan Lohr and fellow 8-year-olds Maverick Platt and Kayleb Alston and won the second event of the meet, the 8 and Under 100 Yard Medley Relay in a new club record time of 1:20.20 and the same foursome celebrated another record with their time of 1:07.66 in the 100 Yard Freestyle Relay.
The other pool record was set by 14-year-old Dolphins veteran MJ Delmore who carved six seconds off of his best time from last year and won the 50 Yard Breaststroke in 28.13 seconds.
