The meal for the September Dells-Delton Community Supper (DDCS), by tradition, was catered by the School District of Wisconsin Dells. As sponsors, The Dells Masons and Order of the Eastern Star and the Bank of Mauston Dells Delton Branch paid the expenses.

Marci Nichols opened the evening with Bingo.

In connection with the “Harvest Fest” theme, Kids Korner made miniature scarecrows and John Torgerson provided information on how to make home-made sauerkraut. Wisconsin Dells Health Services shared information on how they strive to provide the proper care for every individual. The Sauk County Humane Society brought the dog Diago as September’s pet of the month.

Thank yous for these donations and volunteers: Church Street Laundry for washing the aprons; Greeters, beverage and food servers, setup and takedown persons; Thompson’s Full Bloom for providing a plant for the Community Builder. 4) Maurer’s Market’s monthly $25 gift certificate; and Other Dells businesses who make one-time prize donations.

Thank you to Dan Soma, who shared his singing and guitar-playing talent as a sample of what he does at the Sunset Dinner Cruises.

We welcome new volunteers, and nominations for Community Builder. Contact me jtorgersonhome@frontier.com or 254-2669.

See you Oct. 31, when the theme will be Halloween.
