The Reedsburg/Wisconsin Dells boys hockey co-op fell to 0-2 on the season with a 4-3 loss to host Wisconsin Rapids on Tuesday night.

RWD found itself in a 3-0 hole early in the second period before getting goals from Dylan Brown and Ben Horzewski to make it 3-2. Horzewski’s goal came in the opening minute of the third period and was assisted by Brown and Jacob Ely.

The Red Raiders regained a two-goal lead four minutes after Horzewski’s goal, but RWD was back within a goal when Reid Marsich scored at 9:24 of the third period off an assist from Brown. That would be as close as RWD would get the rest of the way, as Red Raiders goalie Tanner Reany turned away the Cheavers down the stretch on his way to finishing with 23 saves.

RWD goalie Nicolas Breunig finished with 17 saves for the Cheavers.
