The Bantam A Cyclones added four more victories to their total this past weekend, boosting their overall record to 17-0.
After capturing a 3-0 win over the Wisconsin Rapids Bantams on Saturday morning at the Poppy Waterman Ice Arena in Lake Delton, the Cyclones lined up against the same team Saturday afternoon and collected a 6-1 win.
On Sunday, the Bantam A Cyclones played another doubleheader, picking up 9-0 and 10-1 victories at Tomah.
In the first game Saturday, the Cyclones got goals from Oliver Scanlan, Trevor Slaght and Grant Marsich. Marsich also had an assist, as did Caden Jacobson and C.J. Pfaff.
In Saturday's 6-1 victory for the Cyclones, they got two goals each from Slaght, Pfaff and Luna Larson. Pfaff added two assists, while Gabe Fitzwilliams and Larson each had one assist.
Cooper Oakes was beaten just once on 20 shots by the Rapids crew to get the win in goal.
In the two lopsided wins at Tomah on Sunday, Marsich enjoyed another huge day, scoring eight goals and setting up three others for the Cyclones, while Jacobson and Kyle Poole both scored three goals. Jacobson also added a couple assists, while Luke Schweda assisted on five goals and Slaght added a goal and three assists. Fitzwilliams scored one goal for the Cyclones and set up two others. Also scoring goals for the Cyclones were Pfaff, Mitch Henke and Dylan Conroy, who also added an assist.
Larson also had two assists on the day with others for Ty Thompson and Cooper Oakes. Oakes also boosted his season record to 17-0 with three saves in the first game and another 13 in the second game.
The Bantam B Cyclones started out the weekend on the road, falling 5-1 at Oregon on Saturday, but bounced back with 4-0 and 6-3 victories over the Madison Polar Caps on Sunday at the Reedsburg Area Community Arena.
In Sunday's opening game, Caden Brandt and Cortney Dunnett each had a goal and an assist, with other goals coming from Logan DeMars and Conner Mortimer. Conner Putz also had an assist.
In Sunday's second game, Putz had a hat trick while Mortimer scored twice and Austin Piotrowski added the other goal. Carter Scully collected two assists.
Due to illness, a scheduled game against Black River Falls was scrapped, but the Peewee A Cyclones managed to get in a game with Waunakee, grabbing a 5-3 win Saturday morning.
The news wasn’t as good later on Saturday, as the Peewee A Cyclones lost 7-1 in a league game at Oregon.
The Peewee B Cyclones played twice on Sunday, collecting a 6-1 league win against Oregon in Reedsburg in the morning, and then moving to the Poppy Waterman in Lake Delton where they downed Dodgeville 7-3.
