Details for Gen Permit reissuance

PUBLIC NOTICE Pursuant to §§ 281.36(3g) and 30.206, Wis. Stats., the Department of Natural Resources is noticing its intention to reissue a statewide waterway General Permit for Projects Designed by Government Agencies to Place Stream Habitat Structures and Materials, Place Stream Crossings (fords/temporary crossings) in Navigable Waters, Dredge or Place Material on the Bed of a Stream Channel, and Discharge Related Fill into Wetlands of Wisconsin for the Purpose of Improving Stream Habitat, Island Habitat, and Water Quality (WDNR-GP15-2022). The proposed reissuance of this statewide general permit, once in place, is valid for 5 years and will allow members of the public to apply for coverage under the permit. Projects must meet all the eligibility criteria and conditions of the general permit to qualify. The Department has determined the reissuance of this statewide general permit has similar proposed actions in kind, scale, and environmental setting to other activities under NR 150.20(3)(a) and will result in minimal adverse environmental impacts.
