Pre-K Friday: 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. Portage Public Library, 253 W. Edgewater St., Portage. Open to children ages 4 to 6, who are attending a prekindergarten program and not currently attending weekly preschool story time at the library. This new program replaces “Pre-K Klub.” Parents are not required to stay in the Children’s Program Room but they must remain in the library. Seniors Bowling Social: 1 p.m. Fireball Lanes, 817 E. Wisconsin St., Portage. Cost is $6 and includes three games of bowling and shoe rental.

Unique Singles: 5 p.m. Cimaroli’s, County Highway 127, Portage. To carpool, meet at 4 p.m. in the parking lot at Village Road and Henry Drive, Portage. All single men and women older than age 50 welcome. The group is strictly social with no dues or officers.


Community free meal: 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. St. John the Baptist Episcopal Church, 207 W. Pleasant St., Portage.

Free Harvest Party: 1 to 3 p.m. Goodyear Park, Portage. Food, music, games and prizes, bounce houses, raffle baskets, illusionist and kid’s train ride. Sponsored by River of Life Church. All are welcome.

Gaastra Go-Getters Song and Sundae fundraiser: 1 to 5 p.m. Cambria Fire Department, 702 Elizabeth St., Cambria. Live music, brat cook-out, ice cream sundaes, silent auction and raffles. Proceeds go to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Touched Twice event: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Columbia County Fairgrounds, Portage. Medical care with diabetes screenings, blood pressure readings, health education and more; chiropractic care; dental care through screenings and cleanings; spa services including haircuts, and mini-massages; financial counseling; family portraits; free lunch; and more.


Bingo: 5 to 7 p.m. VFW Hall, 215 W. Collins St., Portage. Hard cards are $1 and chips are available. All are welcome. Runs the first and third Sunday of each month.

Senior meal: 11:30 a.m. Portage Area Senior Citizens Group, Municipal Building, 115 W. Pleasant St., Portage. If you wish to have a meal, call Lois Williams at 697-5800 by noon Tuesday to register. The cost is a cash donation. The meeting starts at noon with cards to follow.
