The program uses a high-tech simulator, impact video, and other resources to educate the public about the dangers of texting while driving and intoxicated driving. Organizing expert Penny Johnson will give hands-on instruction and practice in digitizing and organizing family photos. Attendees will learn how to operate photo scanning equipment, how to save scanned photos to laptop and other storage devices. Create a scarecrow: 10 a.m., Baraboo Public Library, Ochsner Park, 903 Park St., Baraboo. Create a scarecrow with library-supplied items like straw, clothes, frames and burlap. Registration of the scarecrow made at this event or at home qualifies it for inclusion in the community-wide scarecrow parade and contest.
