Professor Adena Rissman is the first presenter in the 2019 Cabin Fever Lecture Series.

First Cabin Fever lecture planned

Baraboo Range Preservation Association will host its first presentation in the 2019 Cabin Fever Lecture Series at 7 p.m. Feb. 14 at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville Baraboo Sauk County Science Facility, 1006 Connie Road, Baraboo. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for cookies and coffee.

Professor Adena Rissman, UW-Madison Department of Forest & Wildlife Ecology will present “Love and Land: Managing Private Lands for Public Good.”

Rissman’s research group studies the relationships between people, institutions and ecosystems. She will explain how the tools of Wisconsin land trusts and local governments are protecting private lands and share her insight into the benefits of BRPA’s 37 conservation easements in the bluffs.
