The Badger Lightning co-op girls hockey team suffered another loss to Badger Conference-leading Rock County on Tuesday, falling 10-1 at Poppy Waterman Arena. The Fury also blanked the Lightning 7-0 on Dec. 11.

The Baraboo-based Lightning (1-9, 0-6 Badger Conference) were no match for the Beloit Memorial-based Fury (10-5-1, 5-0-1), who scored four goals in the opening frame to take control. It was a valiant effort by Lightning goalie Natalie Buss, who faced 31 shots while Badger only posted three. Rock County pulled away in the second, scoring five goals off of 10 shots. The Fury ended the contest with 46 shots while the Lightning had 13.

The Lightning will continue Badger Conference play when they head to Viroqua on Friday.
