The Baraboo prep boys golf team took sixth in the first Badger North mini-meet of the season, an eight-team event at Norsk Golf Club in Mount Horeb.
Baraboo finished with a four-player team score of 361 after playing twice on the par-36 nine-hole course. Waunakee won a first-place tiebreaker after the Warriors and Mount Horeb each shot a 319 through 18 holes.
Junior Dane Hinz shot an 7-over-par 79 to lead Baraboo. Noah Anderson added a 91, while Jack Rath and Noah Tiber shot a 95 and 96 to round out the Baraboo scoring.
Mount Horeb's Kasen Fager and Ben Leis shot a 77, as did Waunakee's Ryan Johnson.
Tuesday was the first of four Badger North mini-meets this season. Baraboo will get back on the course Thursday for an invitational at The Oaks Golf Course in Cottage Grove.
