Baraboo's Noah Anderson chips onto the green during a Badger North Conference mini-meet at Lake Wisconsin Country Club on April 16 in Prairie du Sac.

The Baraboo prep boys golf team took 12th out of 18 teams at Wednesday’s Monona Grove Invitational.

The Thunderbirds finished with a four-player team score of 386 at The Oaks Golf Course in Cottage Grove. Sun Prairie took home the team title with a 327, followed by Milwaukee Marquette (327) and Mount Horeb (330).

Edgerton’s Joe Forsting shot a 73 on the par-71 course to win individual medalist honors.

Dane Hinz paced the Baraboo individuals with an 85. Jack Rath added a 98, while Noah Tiber shot a 101 and Jacob Carignan rounded out the Baraboo scoring with a 102.

Spencer Breunig shot an 87 to lead Sauk Prairie (360) to a ninth-place finish. Aaron Frey (87), Jake Vieth (81) and Tyler Ramaker (95) also scored for the Eagles.

The Baraboo and Sauk Prairie teams will both compete in Monday’s invitational at Lake Wisconsin Country in Prairie du Sac.
