Elephants and handlers make their way through downtown Baraboo streets during last year's Big Top Parade.

Continuing a partnership dating back to when the Ringlings launched their circus in Baraboo, a local bank will serve as the lead sponsor of this summer’s Big Top Parade and Circus Celebration.

The Baraboo Area Chamber of Commerce announced this week that Baraboo State Bank will lead the many businesses and organizations supporting a July festival that last year brought about 30,000 visitors to town. The bank’s sponsorship will cover about 25 percent of parade expenses as it partners with the Chamber of Commerce and Circus World to promote the event.

“We’re thrilled to have Baraboo State Bank return as our presenting sponsor,” said Nanci Caflisch, parade co-chair and Chamber of Commerce president. “Their support ensures we can bring together the creative, captivating and fun-filled event our community and visitors have come to expect.”
