On July 23, the Baraboo News Republic office will relocate to Capital Newspapers’ office at 1640 LaDawn Drive in Portage. This move will provide the News Republic staff with additional resources to serve our readers.
July 20 will be the last day our Baraboo office will be open to the public. The Baraboo location also will have limited office hours and be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays through July 20.
The Baraboo News Republic will continue to publish six days a week as your community newspaper serving the greater Sauk County region, as it has since 1855. There will be no newspaper or staff changes related to the office relocation.
Our staff is passionate about bringing the news to you, our readers. We remain committed to sharing important information about what is happening in your community. All of the News Republic’s news and sports reporters live in Baraboo and our entire office staff lives in Sauk County. We will continue to put together a quality product that you can count on every day.
After the change, our team still can be reached at 608-356-4808 or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Reporters can be reached by email, phone or on their Twitter accounts. Their contact information is published with every news article they write. Please do not hesitate to contact us.
No other media puts the resources into covering the news in Sauk County that we do. The Baraboo News Republic will continue to make this important investment in the communities we serve.
While the paper no longer will have a physical location in Baraboo, you will continue to see the News Republic team around the community, working to bring you the latest news and living as your neighbors.
