Roger Dale Petzke, 79, of Plain, passed away suddenly Wednesday, April 17, 2019, at his home.

Roger was born March 6, 1940, in Baraboo, son of Fred Petzke and Anna Mellenthin. Roger farmed in the Leland area for many years, then hauled livestock. After, he tended bar a bit in both Leland and Denzer. He was a member of the Denzer United Methodist Church and the Honey Creek Rod & Gun Club.

Roger is survived by his brothers, Earl Petzke of Baraboo, Dean (Harolyn) Petzke of Leland and Dennis (Mary Binkley) of Waunakee; sisters, Dorothy Leake of Baraboo, Marlene Tourdot of Reedsburg, Marva (Don) Pagel of Leland and Sheryl (Forrest) Schuck of Madison; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brother Leon (Marga) Petzke and sister Gladys (Jim) Getschman.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, April 29, 2019, at the Denzer United Methodist Church in Denzer. Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. at the church. A lunch will be served following the service at the Honey Creek Town Hall.
