Truck crashes into Spring Green apartment building

A flatbed truck collided with an apartment building Monday in Spring Green.

SPRING GREEN — Police say an unspecified medical emergency caused the driver of a semi to crash into an apartment building Monday afternoon.

Authorities were notified of the collision around 2:30 p.m., according to a Facebook post by the Spring Green Police Department. The building is located along Hoxie Street at its intersection with Peterson Street.

“The driver of the truck had been working in the area on a landscaping project and suffered a medical emergency” the post said. The driver then veered off the road and struck the apartment.

Spring Green Ambulance transported the driver to Upland Hills Hospital in Dodgeville, police said, but the person’s condition is unknown. The post said residents of the apartment were inside when the crash occurred, but that no injuries were reported.
