I am running for re-election as your representative on Baraboo City Council for District 3. The election is on April 2. I’ve been serving you on City Council for the last nine years and was the only council member who voted against the wheel tax being placed on the ballot for a vote.

You have worked together with me to finally have Lake Street reconstructed this year, adding value to our south-side community. I am advocating using money from a state grant coming to Baraboo to provide low-cost loans to south-side residents for replacing roofs, siding and other home improvements through the Community Development Authority; helping to remove the blighted area designation required by this grant. We will also reconstruct Washington Street this year.

Our south side is anything but blighted, especially along Lake Street. Many homes are older but well-kept by residents adding new improvements to their homes. Many responsible residents live on our south side and it’s no longer on the wrong side of the tracks.

Working together we can make our city united together, and make this a community for everyone no matter where you live.

I would appreciate your vote on April 2.
