Judge Michael Screnock is running for state Supreme Court to replace outgoing Justice Michael Gableman. Vote on April 3.
Judge Screnock will respect the Constitution. According to a Feb. 13 online article in “The Northwoods River News,” Screnock said, “Having an independent judiciary comprised of justices with an unwavering commitment to upholding the rule of law, to recognizing and respecting the separation of powers, and to interpreting the constitution as it was intended is critical to preserving and maintaining democracy.”
He has an amazing record of public service. He ran the city of Reedsburg's community development program where he assisted low-income and first-time homeowners make necessary home repairs. As an attorney, Screnock worked on many complex cases, including defending Act 10. He worked on numerous cases before the Wisconsin Court of Appeals and Wisconsin Supreme Court.
Since 2015, Screnock has served on the Sauk County Circuit Court, seeing thousands of cases to their end. Screnock handles every type of case, including juvenile, probate, small claims, harassment injunctions, divorce and family matters, civil disputes, civil commitments, and every manner of criminal case from disorderly conduct to first-degree intentional homicide.
Judge Screnock is an able jurist who deserves our vote.
