Polls show that Donald Trump is not supported by public opinion after he shut down the government. A majority of Americans oppose expanding the wall along the Mexican border. They also lack confidence in his ability to make wise decisions on immigration and foreign policy.
In spite of his frequent attacks on the Robert Mueller investigation of Russian interference in American politics, a majority of Americans say that Mueller is conducting a fair investigation.
The arrest of Roger Stone, another close friend of President Trump, indicates a major flaw in Trump: He picks dishonest people for his administration. Many of Trump’s White House aides, cabinet officials, and other government officials have histories of criminal behavior.
A majority of Trump’s officials and White House aides are not qualified for their jobs. Learning on the job is not an option when dealing with representatives of other governments.
