An area clean up day has been slated for March 12 in the Beaver Dam area.
The Memory of Grant community clean up will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Cindy Brown is organizing the event.
Brown, 46, said her son Grant Evensen, passed away two year ago as a result of doing the choking game on March 12.
"He had autism and his dreams of earth conscious and green to come true," Brown said. "But we can make a difference in his memory. Ask friend and family because we need to clean up our community after the snow has melting."
Brown said there are already a number of people planning to help out on March 12 but they are hoping for even more to help clean up Beaver Dam for the spring.
"The snow is melting and we need to clean up," Brown said. "It's a good thing. We need for the community to come together to do this."
Brown decided last year to help out the city of Beaver Dam by cleaning up the area around the fence on Mary Ann Road. In addition to helping out the city, Brown said it helped her to deal with the loss of her son.
