TOWN OF POLK — Two Fox Lake men died Tuesday as a result of a one-vehicle crash on Interstate 41 between Highways 60 and 141, marking eight traffic fatalities in Washington County this year.

James Allan Debny, 66, and Daniel Joseph Luedke, 55, were killed in the crash, according to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.

The sheriff’s office said both men appeared to have been ejected from a Ford Mustang after it entered the median, then crossed both lanes of northbound traffic and hit a guardrail on the east side of I-41. Neither were wearing a seat belt.
