Dodge County Sheriff squad tight crop

A 19-year-old Mayville man died and four others were injured Thursday night when the car he was riding in ran a stop sign and collided with a pickup truck in the town of Theresa.

According to a Dodge County Sheriff’s Office, a car traveling north on Freedom Road driven by another 19-year-old Mayville man failed to stop at the Hochheim Road intersection at 7:05 p.m. and collided with a truck traveling west on Hochheim Road driven by a 26-year-old Mayville man.

The driver of the car was transported by ambulance to Aurora Summit in Oconomowoc for non-life-threatening injuries. There were three passengers in the car, including the man who was pronounced dead at the scene by the Dodge County Medical Examiner’s Office. A third 19-year-old Mayville man with serious non-life-threatening injuries was flown from the scene by Flight for Life to Aurora Summit. A 16-year old girl from Theresa was transported by ambulance to Aurora Summit with non-life-threatening injuries.

The pickup driver was transported with non-life-threatening injuries by ambulance to Aurora Summit.

The crash is being investigated by Dodge County Sheriff’s Office and Wisconsin State Patrol.

The names of those involved are being withheld pending notification of family.

Assisting at the scene were Theresa Fire/EMS, Allenton Fire/EMS, Mayville EMS, West Bend Paramedics, Flight for Life, the Dodge County Medical Examiner’s Office, Dodge County Sheriff’s Office Chaplain and Wisconsin State Patrol.
