JUNEAU — A 34-year-old Juneau man entered a not guilty plea on Wednesday for a charge of fifth offense of driving while intoxicated with a child in the car.
Adam C. Huebner is charged with the OWI with a passenger under 16, a felony, as well as felony bail jumping. If convicted, he faces up to $50,000 in fines and 24 years in prison.
According to the criminal complaint, Huebner was allegedly dropping off his children at their schools in Watertown in March while severely impaired from a substance other than alcohol. Police suspect the substance may have been a prescription medication used not as prescribed.
A telephone scheduling conference in the case will be held on Aug. 13.
