A 20-year-old man was injured in a shooting Sunday in Beaver Dam.

According to information provided by the Beaver Dam Police Department, officers and paramedics responded to a shooting at 106 Lakecrest Drive at 9:01 a.m. A 20-year-old man with serious injuries was transported to Beaver Dam Community Hospital and was then transported by helicopter to another hospital.

A 28-year-old woman was detained and police were questioning her Sunday about the incident. The department said there is no further threat to the public.

The police department did not share any more information. The shooting remains under investigation.

The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office and the town of Beaver Dam Police Department also responded to the shooting.

This is the second shooting incident in Beaver Dam in less than a month. An Illinois woman was killed in a Third Street home on March 23.

Prosecutors have charged Ulisses Medina Espinosa with first-degree intentional homicide in the death of Stacia Hollinshead. They allege Medina Espinosa shot Hollinshead while their daughter was present in the midst of a child custody dispute.

Cash bail for Medina Espinosa was set at $2 million.
