Brian T. Sternat, 58, Beaver Dam, passed away unexpectedly and peacefully on Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2017, at his home.

Brian was born the son of Rudolph R. “Rudy” and Gladys H. (Lehner) Sternat Jr. on Nov. 22, 1958, in Waupun. He was a graduate of West Bend East High School in 1976. He attended the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point from 1976 until 1980 and later attended Arizona State. Brian worked for 32 years in retail in the Beaver Dam area. He was currently employed with Kraft-Heinz in Beaver Dam.

On May 24, 2000, he was married to Diane L. Wiser in Shelbyville, Tennessee. Together, they enjoyed life to the fullest. They loved to sneak off to play bingo, take motorcycle rides, and go fishing in their boat. Last but not least, they loved to take wine tasting trips where they made many memories. Brian knew many people and will be greatly missed by all.

Brian is survived by his wife Diane of Beaver Dam; his brother Harvey (Janet) Sternat of Bayfield; his sister-in-law Mary Ann Sternat of Mayville; brother-in-law Larry Garman of Tennessee; sisters-in-law, Joanne Walther of Beaver Dam, Jean (Joe) Pantely of Beaver Dam and Jill Yaeger of Watertown; his brothers-in-law Jon A. Wiser of Prairie du Chien and Dale (Penny) Wiser of Brandon; his father- and mother-in-law Richard and Connie Kraemer of Clyman; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends; and his “fur babies,” Buttons and Moscato.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Denise Garman; his brother, Ron Sternat; as well as aunts and uncles.

A visitation will be held at the Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Thursday, Oct. 5, from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m.
