Bernice E. Bunkoske, 98, Horicon, passed away Sunday, March 4, at Clearview Nursing and Rehabilitation in Juneau.
A funeral service will take place Friday, March 9, at 11 a.m. at St. Stephen Evangelical Lutheran Church in Horicon with the Rev. Daniel Seehafer officiating. Visitation will take place Friday from 10-11 a.m. at the church in Horicon. Burial will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery in Horicon.
Bernice was born the daughter of Emil and Esther (Thom) Glamann on Dec. 15, 1919. She was united in marriage to Elmer Bunkoske on June 2, 1939, in Horicon. She was a longtime member of St. Stephen Ev. Lutheran Church in Horicon. Bernice spent her life taking care of the ones she loved, her family. In her spare time, Bernice enjoyed cooking and baking for others and most importantly, Bernice loved to dance.
She is survived by her children, Jerry (Judy) Bunkoske of Horicon, Dan (Debbie) Bunkoske of Horicon and Connie Bunkoske of Mayville; her 10 grandchildren, Mark (Kim) Bunkoske, Randy (Pat) Bunkoske, Craig (Tammy) Bunkoske, Kelly (Lisa) Bunkoske, Troy Bunkoske, Jessie (John) Shane, Jenny (Brandon) Coffey, Sara (Dan Casper) Norton and Casey Norton; her nine great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Marvin Glamann of Slinger and Donald Glamann of Wautoma. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Bernice was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Elmer; son, Dick; daughter-in-law, Shirley; and grandson, Scott.
