Deloris J. Behrendt, 89, Beaver Dam, died peacefully Tuesday, May 14, 2019, at Hillside Manor.

The visitation will be at St. Katharine Drexel Mission Hall in Beaver Dam on Friday, May 17, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will follow at Mission Hall on Friday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Michael J. Erwin officiating. Burial will be at St. Peter Cemetery in Beaver Dam.

Deloris Jane was born April 22, 1930, to Julius and Clara (Disterhaft) Frey in Fall River, Wisconsin. On June 20, 1953, she was united in marriage with George Behrendt in Columbus. Deloris worked at Bank One in Beaver Dam for 25 years where she developed lifelong friendships with her coworkers. After retirement, she continued to enjoy her monthly luncheons with her fellow retirees.

Deloris volunteered for Beaver Dam Community Hospital on the second floor for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her faithful companion, “Wishes” the cat. She was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church in Beaver Dam.

Deloris leaves behind her two children, Michael “Butch” (Kris) Behrendt of Randolph, and Linda (Steve) Skjerly of Beaver Dam; grandchildren, Kathy Kulka of Texas, Sara (Nick) Weller of Rochester, Minnesota, Mitchell (Alex) Cooper of Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin, and Ashley Cooper (fiancé, Jordan Hardy) of Waupun; step grandchildren, Adam (Meagen) Skjerly, Ian Skjerly, and Erica (Pat) Olson; great-grandchildren, Ashton and Vanessa; as well as step great-grandchildren; her sister, Phyllis Hamann of Columbus; brother, Eugene (Connie) Frey of Columbus; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George; and her brother-in-law, Eugene Hamann.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Katharine Drexel Parish in Beaver Dam or to the Dodge County Humane Society.
