Karen Krause, 68, Beaver Dam, died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2019, at UW Hospital in Madison.

The gathering will be at Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Saturday, Feb. 16, from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at noon. John R. Leiting will be the celebrant. A graveside service will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.

Karen was born on Oct. 26, 1950, in Beaver Dam, to Alfred and Mildred (Bolin) Krause. She was a graduate of Beaver Dam High School. In 1976, Karen entered the U.S. Air Force and was discharged in 1980. Karen worked for the U.S. Postal Service, working out of the Juneau office and later out of Horicon. She just recently retired. Karen was a loyal Packers fan, but her biggest joy was spending time with her brothers and family.

Karen is survived by her brothers, Keith (Mary) Krause of Beaver Dam, and Steve Krause of Beaver Dam; nephew, Brandon Krause; niece, Megan Krause; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Robert Krause; and her loyal companion, Sadie.

Memorials may be made in Karen Krause’s name to the Dodge County Humane Society.
