Since we're painfully aware of being stuck in the throes of winter, it's hard not to think wistfully of warmer times.
How nice was it to have sand between your toes -- as opposed to sand on your roads?
And you could wash it -- without having to worry about the windows freezing shut.
Plants that aren't evergreen actually looked good.
Remember that? When you could eat outside without seeing your breath?
Tomatoes -- and just about everything else -- are in season at outdoor farmers' markets in summer.
When the weather lightens up, so do the beers. Remember sipping a tall wheat beer on the patio?
It'll be a while before we can watch the Brewers outside in Wisconsin without having to wear long underwear and hand warmers.
Sure, you can eat ice cream in the winter. But it's not the same. You can't go outside and walk around with it. It doesn't drip down your arm. And there sure aren't any ice cream trucks driving around selling it these days.
