Regarding the recent Wisconsin legislative action, it seems a lot of people are saying the lame duck session is not honoring their vote for a new Wisconsin governor and attorney general.
Back in 2010, the Democrats that were losing all control did the same thing. They even were able to spring a legislator from jail to get his vote to make it happen. His name was Jeff Wood, in for a third operating while intoxicated charge. Gov. Jim Doyle was on his way out, as was the majority control for Democrats in the Assembly and Senate.
So this action in not unprecedented today. The Democrats one other time did not honor the majority when they went to Illinois so as to avoid a vote on a bill they didn't want or like. That was unprecedented. They were bypassing the will of the voters.
