When one considers the cold, rainy weather we are having, it does not make for a happy day. But on May 8, the Beaver Dam High School girls varsity basketball team visited Hillside Manor. What a heartwarming experience this visit was for the residents. Also present was their head coach Tim Chase and Activities Director Melissa Gehring. Then to top things off, the girls sang "Happy Birthday" to a resident who turned 100 that week.

We all know the Golden Beavers play outstanding basketball, but what these young ladies did for the Hillside Manor residents on May 8 was a class act. Many thanks, and it turns out that it was a happy day.
