Members of the Columbus High School Marching Band perform on the field in Waukesha last week.

The Columbus Marching Cardinals performed “Entwined,” the show for this season, at its second competitive marching arts performance on Sept. 22 at Marchfest 2018 in Waukesha.

Saturday was the second of four competitions the Marching Cardinals will participate in this fall. For the second week in a row the Cardinals brought a solid performance bringing home a first place rating and beating three bands in higher divisions. Percussion placed first with the highest score of the competition out of 14 schools as well as their highest score in the history of Tim Meinholz’s career at Columbus. The students continue to work hard as they prepare for state in three weeks.

The Marching Cardinals will be performing Friday, Oct. 5 at the home football game during halftime and Saturday, Oct. 6 in Milton. Come cheer the Cardinals on and support local talent.
