Just when we get a taste of spring, winter strikes again, reminding us that warm weather is still likely a few weeks away.

A snow storm hit Columbus earlier this week, dumping a few inches of fresh snowfall throughout the area. Several local schools had a delayed start Tuesday morning and roads remained snow-covered and slick late Tuesday night.

It was a drastic change from the weekend of March 3-4 as temperatures rose into the upper 40s under heavy sunshine. According to, temperatures will rise into the low 40s (about average for this time of year) this weekend under partly cloudy skies.
